**** Update 1/16 ****

As Owen Park will probably be closed for quite some time, we will be finding alternate locations for outings on the third Sat of the month for the foreseeable future.

In January and February it will take place at the NC Arboretum, and registration will be required. It will still be free - you can register here or via the event listings below,. Registration for the outings ends at 3:30pm on Friday 1/17 and Friday 2/14 respectively.

See our calendar for more details about outing locations and information.

Happy New Year!

Welcome to Blue Ridge Audubon!

BIRDATHON

In 2024, we focused on efforts to learn more about Northern Saw-whet Owls, who still maintain a small breeding population in the Canadian Zone spruce-fir forests of the North Carolina mountains. These populations are threatened by many issues, and their breeding behavior, habitat utilization, and movements are still poorly understood.

Stay tuned for 2025 Birdathon information!
